By air Sandown airfield, on the east side of the Isle of Wight. Avoid Southampton airspace - we have an excellent record to keep up. The route west of Southampton is fine for flying, there really are lots of places to land out.

Click here for a detailed .pdf of the airfield information.

Sandown radio will be operating on the day - call "Sandown Radio" on 119.275 when you are 5 miles out, then follow instructions - they will probably ask you to call downwind and final only - remember, keep radio chat as short as possible. You will be guided by teams of marshalls when you touch down.

Spamfield is always well attended - keep a good lookout.

By road There are a number of choices of ferries -
Wightlink go between Lymington and Weymouth on the west, or Portsmouth and Fishbourne/Ryde on the east.
Redfunnel routes are from Southampton to Cowes.
Sandown is about 30 minutes drive from any of these ports.
